How to tap a vacume fitting on new turbo???

I have a garett 60-1 and need to tap a vacume fitting. My boost solenoid is capped and im looking to hook it up the right way to adjust boost through the ecu. Help!!!!

assuming a standard 1/8" npt fitting you need a "q" drill bit (.332") and a 1/8" npt tap. npt is tapered and you do not want to run the tap down too far or else the fitting will never tighten! go down 1/4 of the way up the tap shank (always oil the tap!) and then try the fitting. i run taps down with a cordless drill because it works for me, some people prefer a tap handle. after you tap the right depth you need to clean the compressor cover up and use something on the threads of the fitting to seal it. you can use teflon pipe tape, liquid thread sealer or even blue loctite.
