You could use lens tint or like red metalcast paint.

no its Orange/Amber paint... but you can also just get tape and either do it from the outside or the inside. Most people just do the overlay on the outside. My point is, if you go through the trouble of opening the tails, why not just paint them amber. You have to take your time and be patient. Make sure you tape off everything prior to painting. I have done 2 sets already and the second one came out alot better than the first.

yea but the film makes em too dark and i think in some states its illeagle

actually a few months ago I did see a DIY for painting tail lights to match the JDM ones almost exactly including those lines where the turn signals are. Try search for the DIY it will probably come up

i did my old tail lights with night shades...worked pretty well. if you mess it up just have some acetone handy. strips it right off....but also strips the plastic if you rub it too much.
