Evo Ix headgasket
Depends on how much you wanna do to get to the extremely pain in the a$$ intakmanifold nuts i Dropped the exhaust and took out the motor mout on the left on the right side (anitomically) or the side where your timing belt is. jack it up as high as it'll allow. this will make getting to those damn nuts a little easier.( at least it helped me quite a bit) But make sure all the lines are out of the way so you can lift the head out.
pull it with intake manifold, fuel rail, and injectors all attached. the stock head stud is a 12mm 12 point socket. take out intake, UICP, battery, and battery tray. Put the throttle cable to the side. Disconnect the wiring harness from the head, IM, injectors, anything like that. Remove timing belt, remove head stud bolts then take the head off.
