How to: MBC to Grimmspeed EBCS

Can you guys give me some pointers on what I should be looking to do? I've been running a MBC for so long I don't know what's what.
The instructions are geared towards going from the stock solenoid with factory airbox, so I don't know what to be looking for.

I believe I've located the stock solenoid here (notice awesome Amsoil air filter),

but not sure where it should go/where it mounts to, and if I even have the stock bolt still.

Here's where the MBC sits:

I'm assuming these lines will be replaced by the ones grimmspeed got me, according to where GS instructions tell me to put them.

The Recirc Tial QR:

Will I have to take off anything to reach the lines/locations that I need to reach?
If someone could explain this install to me like a 3rd grader, I'd much appreciate it.

read this.. you just remove the 2 lines off the MBC and put them in the grimmspeed its that simple.. the one port you can leave open on the 3 port (port 1)

remove your stock BCS and unplug it and take the plug that was plugged into it and plug it into the grimmspeed.

also, it will need tuned .. if you aren't sure you can handle the tuning aspect of it you can pm me ill tune it for cheap.

its also recommended to combine this 3 port with a omni 4bar or jdm 3 bar so you can monitor boost pressure as you're tuning
the curve.

thanks for the input - I had that printed out, but it was kind of confusing since I'm not going from stock and I'm not exactly mechanically inclined.

I figured I could take the lines from the mbc, I didn't know which would go into which port though, and where the grimmspeed was supposed to be mounted. The 3rd port (port 1) just stays open? Shouldn't it attach to something, like intake? So I need an omni 4-bar thing as well? No one mentioned this to me...

only if you want to log boost you need the 3/4 bar etc.

port 1 can stay open.. leave it open. ive tuned tons of these things and no one uses port 1

unplug stock solenoid and remove it.. doesnt need to be i nthe car anymore. as far as pictures of installation go :

Ah -

I see.. port 1 doesn't make a difference then?
I saw that picture, I wasn't sure where in the engine bay that was - it must be somewhere in the front correct?

The Grimspeed bracket bolts to where the factory air box metal mount was originally located. Its right in the middle of the battery and the acd reservoir and the mounting point will be underneath your air filter.

Okay, took a few pictures -

What the area looks like:

Is this where I'm supposed to mount? Doesn't match the pictures...

I'm assuming this is what I swap out for the omni 4-bar?

No that is the wrong place for the 3-port. I would remove your air filter. The mounting point is underneath it. Yes that is the map sensor.

Found out the issue - I've got a catchcan where that spot is lol. I may move the catchcan or get rid of it altogether

Does wire length from/and to the solenoid matter?....are there any ill effects; lag, incorrect readings associated with having to much rubber hosing?

*This thread should be useful to other like me in the future. Well done guys
