Perrin intake help

Perrin intake help

Anyone have a how to with installing the perrin intake? i am just trying to figure out the mounting of the shield and everything

it did not come with instructions? you just mount the shield on the same holes you took the stock intake from. if you would like some installed pics, just message me.

It came with some skimpy ones haha im asking cause... welll i never had a stock intake i donno how it was lol

It can be a PITA. It took me a while but I ended up shortening the intake to make sure my filter would clear the acd fluid resivior. I used self-tappers to mount the shield.

check the website or instructions.

it uses a bolt that is already there to bolt the shield to the frame rail.

yeah i figured it out but i gotta clean out my maf and 1 of the two bolts that holds the shield in is broken :/ but i cant get the shield to go through the maf part. the 4 threads that hold it on dont line up right

post a pic of how its not lining up. It took me a few minutes to figure it out and line everything up right.

sometimes they can be a pain- especially if you have another upper intercooler pipe-

but it will fit-

I remember having the same issue, I think i had just bent or twisted one of the pieces just a hair ro line it up. Im going out in a few I will take a good look at mine. See if I can help.

No, but all I did was took about an inch off before the maf. It fits much better without the filter touching anything. I also took some of the wire harness clips off and routed the harness around the right side of the acd fluid.
