Question need help, exhaust fitment problems

hey everyone i bought a used hks carbon ti exhaust and had a shop put it on. to put it nicely i wasnt a big fan of how this "professional" shop put it on. i planed on having the new shop i go to fix it when i get a jdm bumper but i decided to keep my usdm bumper and i want to fix the fitment. its messed up to the point where i cant lower the back of my car to be level with my front. here are some pictures of it on the car. the exhaust is in great condition i just think they messed up the hangers. can someone please tell me what i can do to fix the fitment myself? thanks.

The rubber hanger on the mustache bar is on upside down and the rubber hanger that is up high is not the correct hanger. I have no idea how you can fix without the correct stuff that but it is definitely fugged up.

My suggestion would be to have new wire hangers welded onto the exhaust itself to actually get correct fitment.

omg, that is hilarious. where is your old stuff? it should be on your car which it doesnt look like it is, or on your old exhaust. the exhaust is a SIMPLE procedure to install.

first and foremost, i would search for the old hangers because thats your problem. theres nothing a "new" shop can do if they dont have the stock hangers. but i guess they can reweld a new hanger so it looks like the hanger on the blue evo pictured below.

from looking closer, the rubber hanger in the middle near the rear diff like evo8426 said is upside down. and the rear one is wrong. here are some pics of how its supposed to be installed. one of the the hanger on the exhaust is not straight like yours but "L-shapes" toward the front which looks like it fits with the stock hangers. the other picture, that same one is turned a different way which looks like it fits the hanger on the exhaust you pictured. sorry i dont know the specifics.

maybe, im not sure, you can get by with just finding the correct rear rubber hanger.

moar editing- upon further searching in which u should do instead of me. apparently HKS supplies a bracket to go in place of the middle one near the diff. according to this thread.

seriously, a "professional shop" did that install? jesus what a crock. if you can't source the hardware any competent muffler shop or fabricator can fix you up with a simple hanger.

yea a "professional" shop did this and they "specialize" in evos and sti's. now you guys can see why i dont go there anymore. to be a nice guy im not going to bash and blow up there spot but they should really think about doing the right job from now on. i dont know where the stock stuff is i bought the exhaust off 1 of the guys at the old shop and they installed it for me and this is what i got. and yea i saw that hks does apparently make a hanger but i havent seen 1 anywhere so if someone has 1 for sale lmk. but for now it looks like i now have to buy new rubber mounts......

get rt right rubbers and hang them from the chassis the rt way. Support the exhaust at the rt height and then have hangers welded in the rt place at the rt angle to work correctly. Stand there and make sure its not rigged like what you have today---thats a joke.

^ yea i figured it was a joke. i was looking at other pictures and other then welding new hangers it looks like the only other way to get the correct fitment is to get the hks hangers which iv been looking for and seem to be impossible to get. and to make matters worse the hks usa website is under construction so its not like i can contact hks. go figure just my luck

^ yea i know it sucks lol. just out of curiosity does anyone know how much it usually costs to have a shop re-weld new hangers for correct fitment? i was talking to the guy at the shop i go to and he said they could do it but he didnt give me a price and i just dont want to over pay. id love to do it myself but i dont know how to weld.

Take it back to the shop you got it done at and demand they do something about that...That's less then satisfactory...and kindly remind them that one bad review on a wide based public forum can go a long way.

Yeah those rubber hangers aren't supposed to be bending that way. i agree with tony you should go back to the shop and have them do something about it. just my 2 cents.
