Sorry for the horrible phone pictures but you can kind of see how bad my old GSR headlights were before I restored them with the HD Miguiar's headlight restorer. There were lots of rock pits and the clear was fading bad



And here's after words. Not bad at all! Pretty much got rid of all the pits and all the clear coat fading is gone


I dont have a before picture of my JDM heads but here's how they came out afterwards

Good write up, sucks the entire bumper has to come off in order to remove the headlights.

I've been restoring them without pulling anything apart now. You'll just need some blue painters tape to mask off the bumper

Correct, if you want to do it while on the car, use blue painters tape. I pulled mine apart as the lights needed to be cleaned.

I did this with the 3M kit, lasted a couple of years, just had it done by a shop I had do some touch up work to the EVO. Looks great! Awesome job and write up.

If your headlights are rock chipped up as well or faded etc you can wet sand them down with 800 grit and have them professionally cleared with high quality clear and it will make them like grand new. I have photos I can post later if you want to see. I tinted mine at the same time
