help with SD conversion
Do you have a particular reason why you want to install an AIT? few tuners around here are basing the calculation of ait based on fuel temp, so you may not need it unless your tuner requests it.
Edit: On a side note, if u decided to install one, u will need an ait sensor which most venders sell (i have new one for sale also
), weld a bung into ur ucip (thats how mine is setup), and a harness to connect the ait to ur maf adapter. http://www.spoolinup.com/ sells the harness if u dont wanna make ur own.
have someone else confirm this before ur make ur move!

I generally recommend installing the G.M. IAT sensor as low on the UICP as possible to keep it out of the engine bay for minimal heatsoaking issues when the engine is hot and sits prior to returning shortly after. I also try to install the sensor on the top half radius of the pipe so any condensation or oil deposits cannot collect on the tip of the sensor. Basically the same principle used when installing a wideband O2 sensor on an exhaust pipe.
I'm a big fan of the GM IAT and not a fan of the fuel temp sensor. Why have somewhat accurate data when you can just have 'accurate' data?

Thats very true jaime i was actually seeing people running it from the ecu fuel temp sensor and i notice it wasnt really accurate ..... On my uicp it actually has bung for the ait sensor which saves me the weld lol ..... Ive seen spoolin up offers a connecter that actually connects to the maf back to the ait sensor with out wiring or cutting things what do you think of that ....
