DIY reflash init connector for tactrix 2.0

I wanted a quick wire to tuck into my console and pull out as needed instead of using the official reflash connector. Enjoy my brew

Ingredients:
2.5 mm plug
male/female spade connector
1' solid copper wire 18-22 gauge
solder/soldering iron
electrical tape

Instructions:
1.Buy 3/32" mono or stereo phono jack adapter connector from radioshack or local equivalent. It is also 2.5mm.

2.Solder a foot of solid copper wire, insulated of course, to the connector.

3.connect a .110 mini male spade to the other end of the wire

4.cut the OEM white plug that's under your dash, next to your obdii port. Cut it close to the adapter as possible, you need all the wire you can get.

5. install female .110 mini spade to the end of reflash init wire.

6. Connect spades and enjoy

Wire

Hi, did you soldier the wire to all of the wires coming out of the 2.5mm connector? Because there are 3 parts of the male connector, wich connect to different parts of the female connector.

I think you may have the wrong part. Make sure its mono. Mine only had one place to solder a wire and it was just a plug, no wires attached.

Thank you for the reply mberenis,
I bought a mono connector and it worked 😄 . It seems that the female connector on some of the Tactrix cables is not the best, so I had to pull my mono connector maybe 1 or 2mm out for it to work.
Anyway, thanks again and keep up the good work 😄

The stereo plug is used to capture data from another source (wideband, etc.):

whereas the mono-plug is used just to flash the EVO:
