Evo 8 oem hid headlight to halogen headlight ???
Ok. So I found some posts on how to convert there non HID Headlights to HID's..
But mine is the other way around...
I have a evo 8 with factory hid. I was involved in an accident and my front was messed up. I am very low on funds so I just bought a OEM non HID headlight from a fellow member.. Now the problem is the wiring is different.
On the good side. I still have the broken headlights and pretty much the Projector lens, fogs, ballast and wiring's are all good.
Now my question is..
Is it possible to transfer all the OEM HID stuff to a NON HID Headlight?
I know the part on the bottom of the headlight where the wiring of the ballast goes to needs to be cut out and the fogs as well..
But Before I go through and remove the headlight lens, I would like to confirm first if anyone here knows if its possible, and if anyone ever done it.

They are different but the same. Obviously, that's confusing but it describes how the headlights casings are produced. Mitsu made the headlight casing for the non-HID headlight a modified version of the HID headlight casing.
I have both types of headlights. The modifications to install the HID projector can be done but the foglight and other parts needed will be hard to install unless one has experience with this type of work.

This is what I am trying to do first. But no... The socket from the car and the headlights are different..
it is possible.. you just have to bypass the connector and tap on the harness...
I really don't want to tamper with my wiring so I transferred all the parts from my HID to my NON HID.
The Projector and even the Fog light works. although the Motor is not possible to adapt.

There has to be a way to install GSR headlights on your car with a aftermarket HID kit. For example, on my GSR I had an aftermarket HID kit already and I installed factory HID headlights (without the OEM ballast) on my car and all I had to do was buy D2S bulbs that would plug into my aftermarket HID kit to make it work. So I wonder if you could just buy an aftermarket D2S hid kit and use 9006 hid bulbs instead of the d2s's?
