Can I remove this door trim and if so how?

Previous owner glued some cheap wrap around this trim piece then removed it leaving dried up glue behind. I attempted at removing the glue to no avail. So now I am looking to remove and paint over the piece and it would be much easier if I could remove it. So, does anybody know if I can and how?
This is just a screenshot. I have electric windows.
