How To Install Front Wheel Bearing Video- CT9A

Here's a video that I spent way too much time on considering how straight-forward the actual task is. There's a few how-tos that people already made on EvoM for this exact task, but I made one anyways, and I guess it's a bit more thorough. Feel free to visit my YouTube channel, Gears and Gasoline, where I've got a bunch of other car content with my buddy Ben.

Thank you! Will be very useful when I go to do my wheel bearings.

I like the video editing. Great for visual learners.

Yeah, my personal pet peeve is when a how-to glosses over certain details as if you're just automatically supposed to know how to do it, so I tried to get everything.

Thank you, great video

I didn't realize it wasn't much harder than replacing the brake rotors, just need a torque wrench!

Ha yeah, I failed to use one during some pretty key parts of the install, so if my bearing pops out, we'll all know why. Don't be like me! Follow torque specs!

So I have an issue with my front passenger wheel area. When I turn left I would hear a low wobble/throbbing sound at low speeds. When the wheel is on or off I can shake(pushing towards and back from the car) the wheel/rotor and has some play. Do you think replacing the wheel bearing would fix the issue?

Also your walkthrough makes this look very easy, thanks for that!

Oh and here is a video of the rotor shaking. I didn't take one with the wheel on but does the same thing.

The rotor isn't held on by anything except the brake caliper. But if the wheel has play like that when it's held on securely with lug nuts, yeah, that would be a bearing issue, most likely. Check 9:30 in my video, and if your bearing has play like that, you need a new one.

Awesome thanks. I'm going to shake the wheel again to see if the tie rod shakes when I shake the tire. If it doesn't then it'll be doing this job soon. Thanks!

Did everything you did in the walkthrough except I had to beat the living crap out of the old hub assembly to take it off. I need a smaller torque wrench or something because I was barely able to make it work but overall hub assembly was replaced. Sucks I still have a slight thumping noise when turning left so I'll have to check if the wheel still has play in it.

Sucks that you're still having problems. Glad the how to was able to help though. Post back when you figure out your problem.
