Valve Cover Powder Coating and Prepping

Hello
I am thinking about powder coating my valve cover.
Been reading about horror stories using media, since I dont have access to a blaster, I was going to use paint stripper and or aircraft stripper

If I use chemicals and some of it gets say, on the underside or into where the pcv valve is, will a good wash and air hose spray be good enough to get it all out? With sand and media I know you will have to remove the baffles.

Also, what if a little bit of powder coat gets on the other side of the valve cover? I know to tape off and etc, Im thinking worst case if some 'overspray' gets by the cam area...

Thanks

I would do your best not to get any powder coat on the cam side of the valve cover. You can always remove it after if it does get on that side. I've only ever blasted valve covers and I've never had any issues with over spray.
