Anyone used the STM remote oil pressure line kit at the OFH?

I知 looking to install my oil pressure gauge. Been reading that the AMS remote line kit has a NPT fitting where as the oil filter housing has BSPT fitting where the hex plugs are. So I知 wondering if anyone has used the STM line and if it uses BSPT fitting so it doesn稚 have issues threading into the oil filter housing?

Not sure why a Japanese car would use BSPT or why STM would sell something that has issues on an Evo

Edit: Ignore me and read what heel2toe said

NPT and BSPT are very similar. The OFH is indeed BSPT but I know people in the past have gotten away with using NPT. They're both tapered threads and will require pipe dope to help seal.

The STM line would the the one to purchase however IMO given that is uses the correct type of threads. This reminds me I would like to pick up one of these as well as I currently have my oil pressure sending unit hard mounted and think a braided line would be much better for longevity.

I am sure they are aware that it is bpst... they sell bpst replacement plugs for the ofh

The 1/8"npt is for the guage side I believe, if that is what you are referencing.

It's the correct thread (on both ends) and works great. I made my own, but it's the same. BSPT fittings are a pain in the *** to find, so buying a pre-made line is a great idea. The OFH side is BSPT, the other end is NPT for whichever sending unit you have.
I use mine to mount my oil pressure sending unit up near my ABS. I've had a BAD experience mounting the unit to the engine. It's worth 100x the price!

I made my own from kitchen sink line and a few fittings from menards, a lot cheaper and works great no leaks at all.

So just for clarification the STM uses the BSPT but the AMS uses NPT? Or are you just recommending the STM one and they both utilize the correct BSPT thread for the 8mm hex on the oil filter housing?
