Fuel Injector Clip Installation

I don't know if you DIYers know how to install the clip on your fuel injector connectors. Removing the is easy, pull clip out and pull connector off fuel injectors. Reinstalling them is a little harder... But NOT THAT much harder!
DO NOT PAY A SHOP $80 OR MORE TO INSTALL INJECTORS FOR YOU! Purge fuel pressure and then take off the 2 bolts holding your rail on injectors. Pull off injector connectors and swap new injectors with new o-rings in. Don't forget to lube o-ring with oil before installing. Bolt rail on and do this:
1) grip the clip tight
2) straddle them over the notch on injector clip (NOT the groove, but behind it on both sides). Don't forget to hold on tight!!:

3) slide one side forward into groove while putting pressure to keep clip down. Do NOT let that leg fall into goove hole like this:

4) use fingernail and force other side to slide into groove and make sure top bar is in groove too.

5) that should have taken you 30 seconds (seriously). Now do the same thing to the other 3 connectors.

6) press the connectors on to your injectors until you hear a click.

Now that you saved $80 or more, feel free to send me a Starbucks drink!

i just slide the connector over a pair of needle nose pliers. The clip slides right on with no drama. Easy Peasy, lemon squeezy.

P.S. you missed a step: Install new o-rings and seals so you don't have a massive leak or ...four.

This thread has been added to the Stickies, up above, in the "Engine / Drivetrain" thread (top of the list). Titled it: Fuel Injector Installation (its more than a clip procedure, isnt it?)

My main focus was to show how easy it is to reinstall the fuel injector clips. Then I just added a tiny bit to help others save money from paying a shop to install larger injectors.
And I'm trying to get free Starbucks!!
