My car is 5 spd. I recently installed a WK shifter and because I didn’t want (initially) to destroy my existing console, I purchased an “MR” style console to clear the base. But I accidentally bought a RHD console with the coin tray on the right as opposed to be on the left. What would you guys have done to make the console fit? Would you cut the lower part of the shifter piece to accommodate the coin tray?

 

Turns out a JDM console will not fit a USDM console base. Ended up trimming my OEM console to fit the new shifter.
