Rear oil passage for the Mivec feed can be plugged. Then it will work with no problem on an eight head.
It is the same passage used for the evo 8 oil pressure dumby light

why the big sale? Moving stuff to make room for some more road race/suspension oriented parts?

Yes, that's it, making more room for road racing parts, that's the ticket. What would you like to order?

How long would you be running this deal for? You can run a IX shortblock with a MIVEC head, correct?

I will run the deal until the engines I have that I want sold are gone.

Yes, the EVO IX is the Mivec engine.

I don't really understand the regular prices you gave. On your website the stage 3 2liter shortblock is $3050. Core is $1800. Why did you say regular price would be $5300 or $7100 without the core? The price you have in this thread looks like you are selling them for $250 less than what it costs ordering straight off the site.

rr06rs, we do not typically sell a completely sealed and assembled shortblock like this. So our normal shortblock price is $3050, the core fee is $1813, core fee for the crankshaft is $725, oil pan is $165, oil pump pick up is $24, rear main seal and housing is $75, front cover and oil pump is $200 and an additional $200 to assemble all the lower end with the pan, front cover, oil pump etc. Total would be $6252. So I guess I did make a mistake estimating it, but it is still MUCH cheaper than normal.

Gotcha. I just didn't understand where the extra was comming from but that makes sense. So, the $1813 core charge doesn't already include the crank? You may want to change that on the sight if so.

Good looking into rr06rs, haha, should really update that price there dave, haha. Anyway, so you think you'll do a deal for the 8 motor anytime soon? Has anyone swapped a 9 block into an 8 though? The price is just too good to pass on i might have to do it, haha.
