i purchased a set of these cams as well. just curiouse of if im gonna be losing power going with the m3 cam over the m2. or will i just not see the full benefit of the m3 cam until i upgrade the turbo? r those dyno numbers before tuning or after?

The M3 cams look to be the best of both worlds....gains in both midrange and topend power! However it just came to my mind...how abt the torque curve? Did these cams lose midrange torque or spool?

Hey guys,

The test car was tuned for the cams. As for the torque charts there isn't any loss over the M2's in terms of your tourque curve.

These cams will give you power regardless of the turbo set up. Stock turbo they would make some great power but they would really shine for you guys that have bigger turbos.

Hope this helps a bit guys,

Mitch Mckee

So the test car had the stock turbo on at the time of the test or something bigger?

Quick Question! I noticed that on the second pull (M3 cams), it says "cos 280/272 after timing 2".

Does that mean that they retarded/advanced the exhaust cam? Also, does the MIVEC table stayed the same for both pulls?

I would imagine that the MIVEC was kept the same. I am sure with more MIVEC tuning you could achieve even more power.

This has no cam gear on the exhuast just a revision number.

Still interested in these cams. Can you confirm if the M3 intake cam with its 11.6mm lift is a direct 'plug and play' without us needing to check the piston to valve clearance?

Cosworth only recommends doing a valve spring up-grade with this cams.
