Why Choose MAP Machining Services?
We utilize a Serdi seat and guide machine that provides us with some of the industry's finest valve jobs. We not only cut seats for the non performance market, but have also designed specific cutters that we use in all our modern 4 valve heads. Every head is also vacuum checked after each seat is cut to ensure that no head leaves with a poor sealing valve. We would then typically set and adjust the installed valve tip height to our specs to ensure proper valve train geometry is maintained.
We also have a resurfacing machine that provides a superior RA, or finish, on both cast and aluminum blocks and heads, which is crucial for proper head gasket sealing in modern engines. Ours uses the CBN cutters and provides a superior finish to the older, multi-cutter systems that many shops still use.
MAP has several options for your cylinder head, but porting services start at stage 3:

Featuring an industry leading oversized casing with inverted monotube technology standard, Super Sport dampers have a higher oil capacity and larger piston diameter resulting in access to a wide range of adjustment for ultimate response without compromise. These pads feature a hotter compound than our standard Magic pads and are capable of maintaining braking efficiency up to 1000 degrees. Inevitably these will dust a little more than our Magic pads and can make a little noise from time to time however with our anti noise backing plates which all pads will come with we have heard very little to no noise from these pads.
Comparatively the Girodisc S/S pads perform very similarly to the Ferodo DS2500's, a pad which we have had very good luck with in the past.

The S2 cams will show gains of 40-50whp over the stock cams and in some cases more in the higher RPMS. Great for 2.0L engines revving to 9000rpms or for Stroker motors revving to 8000rpms. Why Choose MAP Machining Services?
We utilize a Serdi seat and guide machine that provides us with some of the industry's finest valve jobs. We not only cut seats for the non performance market, but have also designed specific cutters that we use in all our modern 4 valve heads. Every head is also vacuum checked after each seat is cut to ensure that no head leaves with a poor sealing valve. We would then typically set and adjust the installed valve tip height to our specs to ensure proper valve train geometry is maintained.
We also have a resurfacing machine that provides a superior RA, or finish, on both cast and aluminum blocks and heads, which is crucial for proper head gasket sealing in modern engines. Ours uses the CBN cutters and provides a superior finish to the older, multi-cutter systems that many shops still use.
MAP has several options for your cylinder head, but porting services start at stage 3:
MAP Stage 3 Cylinder Head Preparation
The MAP Stage 3 service porting & polishing service starts with cleaning up the casting flash in both the intake and exhaust ports, improving bowl to seat blending, and unifying all of the ports to ensure even flow to each cylinder. Then we take it one step further with additional shaping of the bowls for even more airflow. Pro Comp features inverted monotube (strut type) construction for consistent valving and to withstand high lateral forces of racing. Swift springs are made from H5S.TW which is stronger than regular silicone chrome material.
