To install the trunk (no matter Seibon, VIS (shaved) or ours (predrilled locks)
1. Take out the lock-mechanism from the OEM TRUNK

· *IMPORTANT
Disable the trunk spring (both side)
This carbon fiber is extremely light-weight, compare to OEM trunk
Fail to do so trunk will whip to the rear window.
Picture below will display how the trunk suppose to look without the trunk-springs

Honestly aluma, none of the carbon fiber trunk fit like oem it have some gap on it.
And the trunk above we didnt close them down totally, we didnt put on the "latch" yet so yes it will close / down about 0.25" more than shown on the picture

you have an evo..you're not poor. :P Plus we live in Texas...everything is cheaper in Texas, so while we dont "make" as much as everyone else in terms of pay, we dont "pay" as much for stuff anyway. Or you can just get a second job...all that money goes straight to your car. I know I did, its tiring, but worth it.
