Thanks man. If the WRX already has a flange for the Type S, then this should bolt right in I believe.

Yea, it says that it uses the type S flange.

Yeh, they have a flange, but there is one that comes w/ a wrx flange made on there already, but it is a recirculating valve. There's a guy on NASIOC that sells greddy flanges for $32 IIRC. We'll see what Christmas has in store!

Intsalled it last night. Temporarily venting to atmosphere (will be puting stk bov back in until I get the bov recirc adapter). The sound is not at all like the Type S. It's a loud crisp WHOOSH. Will start a different thread sometime tonight with pics and more info. Will take short video of it as well but I don't have a host. Maybe someone here can host.

This thread has been jacked long enough.

Could the reason it sounds different is because its VTA, perhaps it will sound different once you have it recirc. Remember to link here

I don't think so. I've heard an EVO with a Type S, vented and recirculated and it sounded the same. The latter is just quieter.

I'll provide a link here when I start the new thread.

An FYI, the aftermarket adapter flanges (Dejon/Lancershop) are not the correct inside diameter for this BOV. The opening on the adapter flange that mates with the bov is different. I'm using the Dejon, yes it bolts up fine, but is not the correct one for the Type RS. It'll have to do for now.

The better adapter flange to get is the one made by Greddy that comes in the Eclipse Type S kit. It is beveled to match the larger Type RS. The best one to get is the optional 40mm flange from Greddy that can be welded to the ic pipe. That's a custom job obviously. Will show the pics of what I'm talking about in the new thread tonight.
