HKS high performance camshafts are CAD designed to optimize torque and horsepower over the widest possible power band. Each camshaft application is offered in multiple profiles, each with their own lift & duration characteristics to suit various levels of tuning. Lower profiles offer substantial gains in power and a broad useable power band with little compromise in drivability. Higher profiles offer greater increases in power, but are tailored for the higher RPM range and racing applications.

These camshafts are for the 03 and on EVO VIII, RS, and MR. The 280 camshaft is a full RACE camshaft and will work best with larger turbo kits and ecu tuning.

can theese be used without head work?

 

These can be used without head work but do reccomend head steads to go along with these cams, the lift on these are 10.8mm for intake and 10.2 for exhaust.

 

HKS site says 10.2mm lift for both intake and exhaust with the 280. Dont know who's right?

 

i dont know either, but i spoke to a rep at HKS and those are the lifts he gave me.

What is the duration at 1mm of lift?

 

would it make sense to switch my 272's to get these?

will the difference be much greater?
