Intake manifold spacers $69 shipped!!!

We now have intake manifold spacers available for the Evo VIII. They are 3/8" thick, and come with 2 OEM gaskets(one for each side of the spacer) and longer mounting hardware. These spacers are made of a phenolic material, and virtually stop heat transfer between the cylinder head and intake manifold, keeping the intake charge cooler and eliminating the need for "icing" the intake. As for a little background, some of the quickest DSM's in the country have used these spacers including Curt Browns 9.4 at 146mph AWD Eclipse and Dale Nardozzi's 10.2 at 132mph Galant VR4, which has recently went 10.0 at 140 with its new owner. Many other fast DSMs currently run these spacers. Curt also has one on his Evo, which I beleive holds the record for quickest on stock turbo.

The spacer kit is $69.95 and currently has free shipping to continental US.
You can purchase by calling me at the shop 434 736 2707 or on ebay as found here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MESE%3AIT&rd=1

Thanks, let me know if you have any questions!

Are you going to start having some more products for the Evo? I used to run around with Jason Akers and Skip had me ordering a few parts from you back in the DSM days but now that I have the Evo I would love to see you bring us some o2 dumps at a reasonable price. I noticed the website hasn't been touched in a while but hopefully you are planning on doing some Evo stuff. Take care man!

It requires removal of the intake manifold.

I currently dont carry much for the Evo right now for a few reasons. One is I dont own one(hopefully that will change), so developing custom parts is a little difficult. Another reason is most of the parts I specialize in making are currently already available at extrememly cheap prices, especially with all this stuff coming over from China. In most cases you can barely buy the material for what the parts are selling for. Plus since the Evo 7 was overseas before we got it here, a whole slew of parts were pretty much available instantly.

As far as 02 housings go, I actually made a prototype 3" housing 2 years ago for the Evo VIII, but because of the goofy downpipe connection things become a little difficult. Basically the 3" 02 can only be used with a flat style flange(such as a Buschur), so you wouldnt be able to use it with certain companies downpipes. Plus with all the turbo kits available I figured there wouldnt be much of a need for 3" 02s considering most guys worried about powered are going to be replacing the whole convoluted stock setup anyway. I just didnt see much interest in it. If anyone wants one I still have the jig and flanges.

Wait a second, I paid for this advertising space and you are using my space to advertise someone else and steer customers away from me? Hows this professional top notch welder guy Spencer going to be able to help him if he cant even buy the materials for what these parts sell for? Do you think he will weld for cheaper(albeit much better) than the 10 year Chinese kid?

A PM would have been more apropriate to let him know. Thanks.

As far as other parts go, the EGR block off plates I sell will also work for the Evo VIII(along with every other Mitsu product under the sun). These plates are 1/4" laser cut, come with gasket and hardware for $9.95 plus shipping. They of course trip the CE light if you have stock ECU. I will look into getting a resistor or the like to keep it from tripping the light if the EGR is removed.

No, I sure dont. Maybe someone would like to volunteer to do some testing? They do a really good job at keeping heat transfer to the intake manifold minimal, which is a good thing, especially on a road course car or a hot day at the drag strip. Honestly, there wont be a seat of the pants difference on a mod like this, but it all adds up. I guaruntee you will be happy with how much cooler the intake manifold is.

I've used these and the before and after temperature differences are huge. I don't have any numbers to back Andy's product up, but it does work quite well and has to be worth a few horsepower.

Andy, hope to see you in Dinwiddie in a couple weeks for Nopi.

Another bit of info, these spacers have the port opened for EGR, so it doesnt screw with emissions for those who are worried about that. I have a guy who is putting one on a 05 MR this weekend who might possibly do a write-up on the install, and some before/after temp testing.
