From my experience these are a tight fit on the MR's, mine was rubbing on the TCase.

perhaps you got an older version...we have done tons on 05 cars and plenty of MR's without incident

I have a 2005 as well, bought only a couple months ago brand new and it rubs the TC.

I was told I had a version 2 as well...my '05 it rubbed on the T-case and the cross member area. Have to sell it to someone with an '03/'04 but they'll have to take a hammer to the cross member and bump it up a bit.
