I need the exact couplers we need.. Guys the couplers cost extra money.. Dependeing on what couplers we need to buy this could cost as much as 300+ dollars.

Still a good deal IMO. Where the hell is the vendor though? His absence is making me give this second thought...

QAT-R Lancer shop doesn't spend as much time on here as some vendors but I can assure you that they are an awesome vendor to deal with. I have been doing business with them for 3 years and they rock.

I have the Fighter garage lower Ic pipe and only need the upper like you too. If I would have know about this I would have bought it instead.

For those who wonder about the bling factor... These are replacement pipes designed to just replace the stock pipes. They have smoother bends and less restrictions than the stock IC pipe but they are not a big performance gain like the 1 peice upper kits. But they do clear the stock air box and battery.

If you are looking for a performace system you need to get a 1 peice upper IC and a larger lower. I am working on a larger lower with silicone couplers and t-clamps. Similar to the fighter garage model.

johnjonfenomeno - Getting the list togeather right now, the parts that are needed do not cost too much.

QAT-R - Sorry about the delay, we have been going through pallets worth of evo goodies.

Cajun Power - Thanks for posting the info, we appriciate it very much!

I ordered this kit, how many 2.5" 45 degree bends do I need to install the upper portion?

I want to do this and actually save money....

www.atpturbo.com sells most of the parts you guys listed, did I miss the 2" T-clamp and the 1 7/8" coupler on their site?

No offence, I would not call this cheap @ $130 BEFORE shipping for the listed parts not including what they don't sell at ATP... I suspect I should have checked on this first, I trusted cheap meant cheap and all was available at the site listed....... Buyers beware...

(7) 2 1/2" t bolts clamps - $ 3.75 ea. ($26.25)
(2) 2" t bolts clamps - not sold there... 2.25" is the smallest T-clamp listed. $3.75
(1) 3" t bolt clamps - $3.75
(2) 45' silicone couplers - $38 each ($76.00)
(1) 1 7/8 coupler - not sold there...
(1) 2 1/2 coupler $6
(1) trans coupler 2 3/4 - 2" $17.50

Anyway... I already have the AMS lower kit installed and a BR standard IC so I assume I don't need all the couplers listed... I will however replace everything with T-clamps. I am replacing the Dejon Tool upper IC pipe so I can go back to the stock air box with the works filter. The sound my BOV makes with the Dejon tool pipe is enough to drive me crazy... Not sure why it sounds like it does...

Anyone compare the lower IC part of this kit to the AMS Lower IC pipe kit? The AMS kit is 2 pieces and this one seems to be only one pipe for the same section of the lower kit... Not sure if I should just scrap the AMS parts for this one too as it is very thin and bent a tad when I tightened the clamps to what was not very tight......

Comments?

So I bought this kit and I ordered the silicone as you suggested in this thread "cheap" :-) as you said and from ATP turbo as your website suggests... I could not find everything, but I got close... I am now confused and need your help in understanding this.

(7) 2 1/2" t bolts clamps
(2) 2" t bolts clamps
(1) 3" t bolt clamps
(2) 45' silicone couplers
(1) 1 7/8 coupler
(1) 2 1/2 coupler
(1) trans coupler 2 3/4 - 2"

Now, the question I have is what is the "trans coupler 2 3/4 - 2" used for? Can you help me understand if I am missing something as nowhere on my car is there a 2 3/4 pipe that transitions to a 2" pipe... Please help me understand how this fits what I bought per your instructions here...

Looks like he list should have been:?:

(8) 2 1/2" t bolts clamps
(2) 2" t bolts clamps
(2) 45' 2.5" silicone couplers ? (? Don't see need for 2 yet, 1 for sure this go on the IC?)
(1) 2" silicone coupler
(2) 2 1/2" silicone coupler

If this is incorrect, please help me understand this...

Can you explain where each silicone coupler is supposed to be used? Diagram or a picture? I posted this here so anyone else that has done the same thing can learn what we need. Please help us understand exactly what we need and where each piece goes.

Thanks in advance,

Chris
