Introducing: 42 Draft Designs EVO Water Temp Sender Adaptors
Installing an additional water temp sender in most modern vehicles can be a chore. Very few late model cars have any blank plugs in the coolant system. Current options for installing a water temp gauge and sender in an EVO include cutting the rad hose to install an adaptor, removing a stock sender, or going with a custom solution.
We have designed an adaptor to specifically fix this problem. Our adaptor makes use of the upper thermostat housing on the EVO VIII to provide a clean and accurate location for the sender. By using the stock part we are able to offer a perfect, leak-free fit. Our first version of the adaptor fits all 1/8" NPT water temp senders (VDO, Autometer, Stewart Warner & more). Future models will offer 1/8" BSPT threads for the popular Japanese gauges such as Greddy, Defi & Apexi.

The adaptors are priced at $40. For more information and ordering please visit our website: http://www.42draftdesigns.com/
Any questions? Feel free to email us at Sales@42draftdesigns.com, call us at 443-623-4848, or PM me personally.

wow. very nicely done. if i were to put a sensor in, this would be the solution. i dont like the idea of cutting the rad hose and placing a sensor so close to the exhaust manifold as insome other solutions.

Taps are in, so I should have the BSPT versions done early next week.
The only gauges that I KNOW have BSPT senders are Omoris. However, being that all Japanese cars sold in the US use BSPT threads on their oil senders and that greddy, apexi, defi, etc all come from Japan it would make sense that they would use BSPT. If for some reason your sender is something different I can accomadate for that.

Im 99% positive that the Defi Dseries temp gauge is NPT. Their oil pressure gauge however is BSPT, go figure.

I'm surprized....no one has even mentioned the fact that this setup doesn't tell you water temp constantly... only when the thermostat is open.
If it sticks, or you have other problems, This sender mounting location is no good.
You'll sell many of them, and people won't know the difference though.
Put a sender inline with the water line to the turbo, get constant temps, have nice day. over.
