Hey guys. Sorry. We've been hammered with orders lately. Must be all the tax refunds. The 1018 pipes are in stock. But Nisei has reported low stock to me and they are working on the next batch pretty soon. We could see these go on backorder for a couple weeks in between. Just FYI.

Anyone who PMed me, I am answering those right now.

Funny seeing this thread. I ordered mine from you while back and has just been sitting in my garage along with everything else.

Right now, i just took a break from installing this LICP. Pain in my *** to remove all those damn plastic screws. 1/2 of them don't want to come out. Starting getting mad. LOL

I hope you're talking about the undertray clip thingeys. I've found that using a small screwdriver to pry them out works pretty well. As for the bumper removal, don't do it. I installed mine fine without removing the bumper. There's a little cutout you can take out of the lower lip (at least on my IX there is) and most hose clamps can be reached fine (might need to wrench a few). And the mounting bolts can be reached with nimble hands and by moving the coolant reservoir out of the way on the top. I was planning for like a 2 hour install, but it took me about 30 min (but my undertray is already off). Hope this helps a little.

BUMP! In stock.

Recently we've been notified that a certain vendor on here is claming Nisei products are made in China. The is completely untrue. ALL Nisei products are made in the US, in house at Nisei. The 1018 lower is made in the US as well with Nisei own CNC mandrel bender. The reason we can keep the cost low is because Nisei owns all the equipment they make the 1018 with.

However, instead of some vendors having integrity, they stoop to lower lows by creating lies about competing products. I guess it's the response we can expect when they have nothing else that is worthy of competing with the caliber of Nisei products.

This vendor needs to put down the crackpipe and step away from the keyboard.Forever.

I have talked countless no. of times with Kevin at Nisei and based on the turnaround times he has produced things for my old Evo in, there is no way the stuff is coming from China unless he was overnighting it from them.

More so, I trust Kevin and he has always given me the straight story even when he had delays, so I fully agree with Rob...

Call me a Nisei fanboie, but will personally vouch for Nisei products based on my experience with them and I had all of the stuff they made for my old Evo.

This thread is for the lower pipe only. However, to answer your question, the Nisei pipes work flawlessly wit the stock airbox. The fitment is great.
