Al, those pumps are a bad joke. They only handle 50/50 mix. They are best for water only. The other severe problem with that pump is the it can only spray a 1.0mm jet which is about 350cc. Very small volume. Again that setup is good for water injection only where quantities need to be small.

I may be wrong but Perrin changed the seals to teflon and may be able to use straight alchy. Also I have heard people using a y and spraying 2 1.0mm jets.Originally Posted by 94AWDcoupe

That is not true - this pump is set up for 100% meth as the seals were changedOriginally Posted by 94AWDcoupe

This is 100% correct

good to know... I believe this is the best pump out there, very reliable and quiet
Just FYI to all readers
I see Meth injection as a tuning "AIDE"
The idea on my end is to spray as little as possible that is needed to supress detonation and allow the customer to have a race gas boost and power level on pump gas
My idea is NOT to pour in huge quantities of alcohol to the degree that the car is running 1/3 on alcohol
On the SMC kits that I helped set up along with David Buschur and SMC we went to a SMALLER jet - the SMALLEST jet that would supress thye knock
reasons for a smaller jet
1 - Dont have to fill the alcohol tank as often
2 - Less reliance on the alcohol and less chance of a nightmare if alcohol fails
3 - Less issues with tuning transitions between low and high boost

I think the main benefits of the aquamist pumps is the smooth flow and lack of pulsations in the pumpOriginally Posted by fimotorsports

I have experience with these pumps. I am not trying to ruin anybodies game. If you havent noticed I am about trying to improving the hobby for everyone. By sharing valuable information. I dont make any money selling parts like the numerous venders on here. I am known to be an extreme experimenter with my cars. I will try five different turbos till I get the powerband I want. These pumps are made of stainless on the inside. I had a pump fail from using a 50/50 mix of denatured alky which is less corrosive than methanol. There was an alarming amount of corrosion on all the stainless surfaces inside the pump. You can run two jets but the pressure drops to like 70psi if I remember right. The flow rate of the jets diminishes at that psi. That company that produces the pump recommends no more than two .7mm nozzles per pump. I had a second pump that failed from normal use. The circuitry inside the pump failed. Nothing to do with corrosion. I do like a mappable feature of a system. But that becomes more neccesary with injection of large quantities not small ones.. The simpler the sytem is the more reliable it will be.

all alky pumps seems to hate you.......you killed 2 of these magnetic piston pumps, killed 1 or 2 alkycontrol shurflos.........Originally Posted by 94AWDcoupe
