Found these pix in my file and just thought I would post these pix up for those interested.

Altho More-Japan.com and other various vendors' websites said the Kansai CF Induction Box requires an aftermarket UICP in order to work. We were able to make it work with STOCK upper intercooler pipe setup. My speculation is that this box will also work with other aftermarket intake kits as long as you don't mind some minor cutting.

Overall, the throttle response is much better. I was able to see about 1-2psi increase. Definitely can hear the stock metal valve venting off louder than previous setup (stock airbox w/ hks drop in). Butt dyno tells me a bit of gains. We will put this on the dyno and see what happens.. I think the gain should be there with a good tune just like the ARC induction box.

stay tuned....

can you provide a picture of your intake system?

I am sure it will fit with small modifications, i.e dremel the opening a bit larger to fit you intake maf adapter.

hmm i see..

well, as you can see from the picture #3. I modify the intake box to allow the maf adapter to fit. I had to dremel some of the opening a bit larger. This is because, well according to Kansai Service, this cf box will only work with their intake kit or hks rs intake w/ addition of their Intercool pipe kit. Their upper IC pipe is designed a bit differently and that allows the MAF adapter to sit right next to the induction box opening (map adapter).

with that said, i think any intake open element intake kit should work as long as you don't mind a little bit of improvising..

Hey,

You've mentioned on some other posts that the HKS RS will work with the CF intake box and some "modifications"... do you mean that the only modification is an UICP or do you have to modify the box somewhat? Also, I don't know if you can answer this, but will the CF Box + RS intake work with the Nisei UICP?

Thanks a bunch (and nice pics... best I've seen for the CF box).

Hello,

The modification is where the MAF sensor/pipe sits, see picture #3. I had to dremel the opening slightly bigger in order for the MAF sensor section to fit due to stock upper ic pipe elbow was getting in the way. The stock upper ic pipe was interferring and won't allow the maf sensor to bolt on to the box like it suppose to.

As for if this CF box + RS intake will work with Nisei UICP? well, since I have no experience with the Nisei UICP, and not sure the way it routes the piping.. I think it should fit with the modification I mentioned above. Unless the UICP comes down a different angle.... do you have a pic of your setup?

ok, i don't think its going to work because the UICP routes at a slight angle that might interfere with the CF box.
