New Evo turbo kit option from ShearerFab

We have received many emails, PM, and phone calls from customers that want the power, performance, and proven reliability of a ShearerFab turbo kit, but are on a tighter budget, or just missed the group buy. Being a college student, I can sympathize with this. So I got together with Ron and we hashed out a plan for the Evo owner that is on a tight budget, but still wants the pure sex that is a ShearerFab turbo kit.

I present to you, the -ShearerFab Street Brawler – turbo kit.
Featuring the same industry leading T3 manifold with a lifetime warranty and the quality you have come to expect from ShearerFab. Turbo options include the ever popular 50 trim, 50 trim HP, 60-1, 61mm, and 67mm in 360 thrust bearing form. These are the same cartridges people have been using for many moons before the advent of the now popular BB technologies with great results, so you have nothing to be worried about.

Pricing starts at $3200. Included in the kit will be a Manifold, turbo, wastegate, proper oil feed, drain lines, v-band O2 housing, and dump tube. Optional parts will include an intake, V-band downpipe, lower intercooler pipe, and your choice of popular high heat ceramic coatings. This kit is for you guys-and I hope it shows that we are listening when you call and email us with your concerns. We think this is one of the things about the ShearerFab crew that sets us apart from the rest; we actually care more about the customer than making a buck.

If you guys have any questions-feel free to PM me or call the shop at 216-373-1023. Here is a link to the kit on our site. http://www.shearerfab.com/products.php?itemID=116

Thanks again-and always keep an eye on the website as we update our product list with new parts daily!

There does not seem to as much interest for this as I would have though.

Anything in particular you guys do not like about this option?

i was hoping to see more install pics, pics of what you receive vs details & a dyno comparison of the oem turbo @ the very least.

the dark picture you have on your website or maybe it was the only pic available for me to see through my companies firewall doesnt really say much about your kit.

you have heard the expression " a picture is worth a thousand words", well judging by the lcomment count suggests you need a better picture for people to talk about.

maybe i missed your post of all detailed photos?

You need to talk Ron into making a stock flanged manifold. I asked about one about a year ago but there may not be that much interest. On the flip side. People will pay for the quality.

thats still pretty pricey.....especially when you consider install and tuning. like its been mentioned, you gotta pay to play, but thats still pretty much out of the budget of the ones you are trying to target with this setup

There are 1000's of pics of our kits floating all over this forum, and all the internet. This kit will not look physically different than our BB turbo kits-other than the lack of water lines going to and from the turbo.

Honestly-the complexity of the build-and the lack of market for a high end manifold for stock flange turbos makes it not worth our wild to produce these. This may change in the future though if we see a high demand for them.

Thanks-and shoot me a PM for pricing of that kit.

360 Thrust turbo, instead of BB-

No water lines-

Many of the included parts in the BB kit are optional here, so if the DIY Evo guy already has an intake, or a downpipe, he can keep them and save some money while still getting the big upgrade in power without the BB price tag!

Good clear pics of what you are getting for $3200 would go a long way.

Not to slam your offer, but the Buschur 50 Trim is $2995.

I don't know much about the kits though, so what's the difference? Buschur gives you:

# 50 Trim Ball Bearing Turbocharger
# BR Produced Cast Exhaust Manifold (from NI-Resist material)
# TiAL 44mm External Wastegate
# Stainless Steel O2 Housing
# Replacement Low Profile Cooling Fan
# Oil Feed Line
# Oil Return Line
# Misc. Fittings
# Hardware
# Gaskets

Fair enough. I will be assembling one in the next day or so, I will post up a few pics.

The main difference is the exhaust manifold. Ours is obviously of a tubular design, and comes with our lifetime warranty. As far as the tubular vs. DSM style cast and which makes more power-I will not dabble into hat argument. You can do a search and see what you come up with.

Other than that, those pieces are included in this kit as well. Buschur Racing makes a great product, and is one of our best customers. I am actually leaving the office now to drop off some pieces at BR.

Hey Nick-warm me up some coffee-I had a long night!
