PERRIN/PWR/INJEN COOLING THREAD - Just in time for SUMMER!
PERRIN FRONT MOUNT INTERCOOLER
Once simple look at thephotos above and it is easy to see the VAST difference in shear size ofthe PERRIN Front Mount Intercooler over the OEM one! This is certainlyan ideal case of size DOES matter.
Turbocharged engines rely on the compression of air to make boost. Not only does this process raisethe temperature of the air, but the unit doing it (the turbo) is also extremely hot. While the motor benefits from the increased pressure,far more HP can be gained by cooling that air down to increase thedensity. The factory did a great job of placement of front, but theyare limited by budget when choosing the core material and size. This iswhere PERRIN is allowed to excel!
All PERRIN intercoolers are made right here in the USA using similar core designs used on military aircraft, large diesel applications, ships and the like. Divorcing ourselves from the Chinese sourced cores has allowed us to make more HP, have better quality, yet we have been able to keep costs down tostill offer you a superior product at a more than reasonable cost. Weuse a bar and plate design to the core material. This gives us moresurface area per cubic inch that tube and fin, along with less pressuredrop across the core. Don't forget the cast aluminum endtanks. Reduceweight and increase flow by eliminating restriction. Additionally, in our quality control area, each core is tested at 120 psi, for ANY leaks. If the core leaks in anyway, it is immediately rejected,repaired and re-inspected. When you buy from PERRIN you can be assuredthat your core is of the highest quality.

PWR alloy radiator is a direct bolt in. Full aluminum end tanks and core. This enables maximum cooling and power efficiency. Utilizing all stock mounts, there is no modification necessary. Add this nice improvement for additional horsepower and cooling. Its a well known fact that the 4G63 motor runs really warm, especially when running more HP and higher boost. This stock fit radiator is 100% Tig- welded Aluminum and uses a furnace brazed core giving 30-35% more efficient cooling!

PWR Intercoolers are manufactured using the highly efficient and light weight tube cores are individually made by hand and the tubes cut to the required length. The EVO intercooler uses the OEM piping so there is no need for aftermarket piping but is useable with most aftermaket pipe kits.
The PWR measures in at : 23.5"x12" x3" for a total 846 cubic inches.
The intercooler core is rated for a whopping 1320cfm flow capacity and has a 282 cubic inch surface area with less then 1psi air pressure drop increasing power output significantly! PWR's extruded tubes and rounded on the ambient air side to allow for smoother cooling air flow for additional efficiency.
