The Turbo XS FMIC piping kit for the Evo 8 & IX not only looks great,but increases overall flow and keeps air temperatures drastically lower. This hardpipe kit uses precision mandrel bent pipes that unlike most kits,allow for use with the oem battery. The kit can also be installed with various intake systems including the factory airbox, the TurboXS EVO8 Intake, the HKS EVO8 intake, and similar intake systems. It is a direct bolt on with stock intercooler, Turbo XS FMIC, as well as most other FMIC kits using factory piping locations. Turbo charged engines rely on the compression of air to make boost. Not only does this process raise the temperature of the air, but the unit doing it (the turbo) is also extremely hot. While the motor benefits from the increased pressure, far more HP can be gained by cooling that air down to increase the density. The factory did a great job of placement of front, but they are limited by budget when choosing the core material and size. This is where PERRIN is allowed to excel!
All PERRIN intercoolers are made right here in the USA using similar core designs used on military aircraft, large diesel applications, ships and the like. Divorcing ourselves from the Chinese sourced cores has allowed us to make more HP, have better quality, yet we have been able to keep costs down to still offer you a superior product at a more than reasonable cost. We use a bar and plate design to the core material. This gives us more surface area per cubic inch that tube and fin, along with less pressure drop across the core. One of Megan Racing s strongest products, the Cat-Back System is made of SUS-304 Stainless Steel with a fully polished surface, CNC machined flanges and mandrel bends. Its aggressive styling, and deep, strong tone are just part of the MR Cat-Back characteristics. It also serves to improve horsepower, torque and overall performance with its straight-through design. The exhaust systems have 2.5” piping and 3” piping for certain forced induction models. Finished with a tip that is designed to increase the scavenging effect and achieve maximum performance, while adding a perfect match on exterior styling as well. As a direct bolt on, each Cat-Back comes with a 12-Month warranty.

Megan Racing Evolution 9 Downpipe

Due to popular demand, Megan Racing has finally developed our Stainless Steel downpipe for the 05+ Mitsubishi Evolution. This true 3" pipe is a direct bolt on to stock components and allows the use of BOTH under braces without any modification to your car.
The piping is constructed of stainless still with the exception of the first 90-Degree bend which is constructed of Cast-Steel. The reason for this was to keep the bend more uniform and the CFM of the exhaust up.
