Ok sounds Great!!!
The HFS-5 is called a “progressive system”
You want a progressive system to allow the right amount of injection to fuel ratio. Too much injection will “blow out” your spark, not enough will cause detonation and knock.
With a “non progressive” system it’s typical to see too much injection at low RPM and not enough at high RPM. Giving you spots of rich and lean across the power band, causing a tuner headaches spending hours trying to tune it safe.
The HFS-1 will not include one item the HSV (high speed valve) The HFS-5 does include it. Why is this item so expensive and add to the HFS-5 cost so much? Well uniqe in its design many other companies have tried to copy it but cant. This thing gives the Aquamist its 3D mapping capabilities, allowing for easy tuning. It controls the flow like a fuel injector controls the fuel. Much like a fuel injector the HSV can pulse up to 200X's a second, giving you full control over flow, allowing you to have the perfect “progressive system”
Many other companies make “progressive” systems by altering the voltage to the pump itself. By doing that it causes slow response time (No H2O when you need it) and left over’s dribbling in after injection (full water drops in at idel = Bad) Also this “partially on/off” voltage limiting ends up causing pump failure and worse engine failure.
Now you can see the difference between the HFS-1 and HFS-5. The one is not progressive and can take longer to tune, the five is easier and better for tunabilty but more expensive.
I say if your on a budget get the HFS-1 and then call me down the road and Ill sell you the HFS-5 Upgrade kit to easily add the HSV to your HFS-1 making it a full HFS-5.
