Perrin Intake users!! and others!

Hey guys,

For those of you running the Perrin intakes on their evo 8/9..

We decided to build our own UICP to work with this intake and the stock battery... We did not however want to run the IC pipe OVER the intake because of making it difficult to pressure test and sometimes putting pressure on the maf connector (as we've seen from some other kits).

Alot of our customer cars arent driven often and the small battery kits require battery tenders etc in cases where clients have alot of gauges, stereos etc... So we wanted to allow the use of the stock battery or upgraded stock size!!

So- we have a new 2.5" UICP in aluminum with stock bov flange, that goes under the perrin intake, and meets up with the stock FMIC outlet location! It includes a small adapter plate that moves the perrin heatshield/filter forward about an inch also! Completely bolt in!

The kit includes a new Stainless Steel battery tray that moves the stock battery slightly to the right for more clearance. Pricing will be very easy on the wallet and we are also machining a CBRD battery tie down for those of you that simply like our logo

For those of you with any other intakes, this should work with those also, if they keep the bov return close to the stock location!

Pics coming!

Cheers

CB

Sweet! I see this only being an issue with the oem routing of the UICP.

Can't wait to see pics!

Looking forward to pics. It will be nice to have one continuous pipe from the fmic to TB. Or will it be in more than 1 piece?

we always do them 2 piece on the 8/9 because it gives a little room for adjustment!

I personally wouldn't mind seeing the pipe asap. Just to see how the welds look, etc. (assuming there are some welds)

Does this spacer move the MAF forward? I would think it would have to. Reason I ask is I have the Perrin intake tube turbo to MAF and have the APS intake pre-MAF. And if I move the MAF then the intake will not line up. So I am assuming this set up will not work for me and I will have to stick with what I got.
