I saw this kit on a guys evo at the central VA. drift event.
It looks great, the carbon fiber heat shied is something I havent seen on any other systems.

 

Is keeping the stock plastic ram air piece required?

 

No it is not required. But can definitely help direct air flow as well as fill some empty space.
