Why so much for one hose. You can get a set of Sampco intercooler hoses for $239? And that includes everything, from the turbo to the throttle body.
I happened to see Joe Perrin one day and asked him about the fabrication process and why he uses it. Basically it's a really good, but really expensive process. If I remember correctly, they are all hand made and hand wrapped around some sort of mandrel, and I can't even begin to think how they get the mandrel out of the middle when they are done. I personally would prefer hard piping for looks and price, but lots of people swear by the Perrin stuff.
