Why not just stick with the GReddy? Drivability IMO is improved with that unit.

not really for me, and I've adjusted the thing to heck....can't seem to dial it in perfectly without fluttering.

yeah this ones oem also. can't get much better fit and finish than that! I'm getting mine just to get rid of the plastic piece that comes with the usdm evo. I have no plans to turn up the boost.

I'd be sold if this thing holds 23-25 pounds.

I have MR DV unit on my EVO but I can not run up to 23psi due to ****ty CA 91oct gas. My current boost setting w/ Blitz sbc-iD is at 20.7psi about 4500rpm to redline. I am also using S-AFC w/ custom tuned settings.
I am pretty certain this unit will hold up to 25+psi after confirming w/ our sales-rep in Japan

Thanks

Cal

Hi Cal;
So after talking to your rep in Japan? They've tested the thing and said it'll do 25+? This is important to me since I'll be running a big turbo and need to know if this bov is up to the task....I already have a greddy type-s and am thinkin of switching. I think the most boost I'll see is probably 24-25 pounds realistically so if this thing can take it, expect a phone call tomorrow. =)

this is the best BOV for the EVO. Low boost performs like stock while holding strong at high boost. I can now hold 21-22 psi when it usually tapers with the stocker. This is defiinetely better than any aftermarket ones.

.....when you guys say it's the best....are you comparing it to other valves or just saying it performs well.....the best thing is an actual pressurizing test from someone or gruppe-s.....it's not that hard to do guys and it'll help out potential buyers like me a lot. I don't want to spend another hundred or so dollars on a valve that won't hold as much boost as my current valve, the greddy type-s. If you guys could, help me out and do a little experiment. =)

Have you tried the one spring mod? That should solve any problems you have with the TypeS.

yeah, ready silver surfer's thread to death, did the one spring mod, that stopped the stalling. But the thing flutters like hell....no matter how loose I have the adjustment screw.....And it is way too loud with my intake, I feel like my car whistles to the cops. That's why if this thing can hold boost (24-25psi) and drives like b4 when I had a stock bov, I would love it to hell.

Hm, dunno what the problem could be then. It shouldn't be whistling if you have it pretty loose. That's a major bummer!
