I did it man. Cutting away from the edges work!!! Now the only problem is the bottom/chrome part of the housing where the signer light is at. If you cut away from the edge around that area, you will cut into the chrome part of it. THe chrome layer is painted on to the housing. But if you added the orange lense, it will over up that imperfection. This is the only way the edges look clean, or else it looks like ****.

There are not 110% perfect - we are not ready to sell yet - but we are making some sets and just seeing which technique and paint works better. Soon enough.

u guys are CRAZY...CRAZY!!!!!! for doing them for only $100 for the headlights including shipping. I just did them myself on my own since I didn't want to leave my car w/o a bumper for a few days. Came out beautiful BUT forgot to clean the inside of headlights now there are dust particles inside but I can live with that. They'll probably be gone after being burnt down. I regret doing it myself but if you guys are just closer!!!!

TO EVERYONE ELSE:
It's not something easy to do. For $100, it's basically like loose change. If I were to do it, I would charge $300. AMS is really doing us EVO guys a favor.

I meant the headlights for $100 was crazy. THe taillights should be a tad more. I tried doing the taillights when I first got my car and I messed up pretty bad. It was almost impossible to take off. I cracked them. But if AMS does them for $100, I'll probably get some stock EVO8 tails and get myself a pair of MR tails and swap my EVO VII tails out once in a while.

TO AMS:

How much is it????

I did some strobes for a freinds R1. To take the housing apart, I drained my hot water heater into a bucket and dropped the headlight housing in for a \bout 20 minutes. It pulled apart pretty easily. I used black 3M 5200 Marine Adhesive Sealant to reattach.
