The only 1 complaint i have, is that the 3 studs that hold the coilovers to the strut towers of the car (front) were all loose. They should be firmly attatched to the camber plate, but instead, they aren't really held on with anything.
I went to install my new strut bar. Loosened the 3 nuts for the studs and the studs fell down. I don't know if just MINES were like that, or if all the tanabe coilovers are like that. But just make sure you tighten the bolts down good.

Just to double check, I inspected the other units I have in stock and they are all very secure.
The only thing I can think of is that when you installed it, did you use an impact gun to tighten the nuts on top? (or overtightend them with hand tools)? Doing so may have broken the studs loose from their seats.

Only other thing I can think of is that the studs were un-seated during shipping. Maybe the package was jostled or something...
As far as the other units I have, ya, they're all good

I watched my friend install some coilovers and they used an impact to tighten the upper mount studs and wound up spinning them. D'oh!
Those studs are pressed in pretty tight, so would I place my bet on UPS dropping it on it's end. If it installed OK then I wouldnt worry about it, but if not, I would file a claim. If you can show it's their fault (damage to the box), then they're usually good on issuing a refund.

Francis, got a question for ya.
I have the street version, but as you know, they're too soft for me. Can you sell me just the springs for the "hard driving" version?
Also, is the valving different on the "hard driving" coilovers, or is everything the same except for spring rates?

That's definitely not a problem. Check your PM for the details.

Haha sorry bout that Francis, I figured since it's your thread that they would naturally be getting it through you-- Tanabe corporate headquarters doesn't sell any of their parts to retail
