4000 slotted are black only - 4000 XS are gold only.
Look here for pics
5000 are in stock in Cali in gold hat only in slotted - they are trying to get away from the zillion color choices as it is impossible to maintain all those sku's.
yup - thats my wagon - I tortured the thing as it is boost creeping and I stupidly ignored it as it was too much fun passing the Porsche and the supercharged Cobra
The guy in the 911 said 'Nice grocery getter"
I assume you are one of the Group One guys - the white one I bet ??
PM'd ya

peas and carrots for dinner bump
Hawk race pads can be ordered pronto - but I would not recomend Blues for EVO's for many good reasons. It's just the wrong race pad for the application unless you only want the cheapest full race pad you can get - and it isn't that cheap.
Wanna know why?

Blues are about the perfect race pad for Miata's. They are reasonably priced - in fact pretty cheap in Miata shapes.
They are a low to intermediate friction race pad with medium fade resistance at high temperatures (1200+). More importantly - they modulate well and when run in their temp range last a long time. I pitted for an ITA Neon that won the 12hr race at Summit on Blues. The pads lasted the entire race and even still had life left.
These are 'momentum cars' - low power race cars where you win with tires/brakes/suspension - and DRIVING - not power. Too much pad just slows you down too much and you can't keep them hot enough. Also - the dust from Blues is a bit obnoxious and when wet WILL pit your wheels and pretty paint. The SpecMiata guys are NOT concerned with that.
An EVO is a completely different animal. Power - well yeah - you got that in spades. And most of you like your paint and nice wheels. But it's heavy -very fast, and all the braking is done up front. You need as much friction and temperature resistance as you can get - especially with R comps or anything near that. If you are thinking Blues you should probably just run HP+ and burn them up in weekend and replace them. Your rotors and paint will thank you. Otherwise get something that can take 1400+ degrees and deal w/ the rotor wear. It costs more but when a track weekend costs $500 + to begin with - well you might as well have good brakes.
We should be adding the Carbotech race pads pretty soon. I'm sure many will recall the Bobcats from last year - that was kinda ugly. But for race pads they likely fit your needs a little better if you don't want the no compromise Hawks. They are a little easier (they still wear rotors - just not as much) on the expensive rotors - but they may wear faster and be a little touchy to bed in. They don't quite have the feel of Hawks but they are good pads.
thats my 2 cents
PLenty of street stuff in stock - who wants some?
Well I'm off the soapbox -
Thats not to sat they are terrible - I ran them this past weekend and they did stop my wagon ok. They heat up quickly etc - but I'm just an HPDE group 2 guy - I ain't got mad track skills - trust me. But my rotor temps were above 1250 and the pads wore more than halfway as a result. They also chunked a bit - a sure sign of overheating. My rotors did OK actually -but grooved a bit in some of the slower sessions.
A lot of you know this stuff - but lots of you don't. Pick the RIGHT pads adn you'll be happy.
