I don't see a reason why it won't fit. The trunk of regular lancer is same as the EVO.

I am not sure how to answer this question. But as far as I know, the trunk brace did stiffen up the rear of EVO quite a lot. It definitely improve vehicle's structure rigidity.

Thanks

you don't have to cut holes. all you have to do is put the carpet over it.

Cal, can you post pictures of yours installed? I went to do the install on mine last night and I'm a little confused as to what I need to remove to install it. I know I have to lift up the carpet I'm not sure on where the bolts go. Do I have to get under the car???

Thanks alot,
Ron

Hello RonV,

When you lift up the trunk carpet, you will see two round black sticker looking things on both side of trunk (near the back of the trunk). its very hard to see, but if you push the back panel back a little, you will see them.

Peel those black stickers off and you will see the holes that were already pre-drilled from the factory. Then you should be able to mount the trunk bar on there.

hope this helps..

Cal

all you have to do is bolt the bar down with 2 bolts provided by the Cusco Trunk Bar package.

Both of the rear strut brace and trunk bar will stiffen up the rear structural rigidity of your EVO.

negative side of this will be... can't put larger luggages? hahaha
