how do you like the aftermarket HID's? i have a WW 05 gsr with no SSL for the same reasons as you. Was the aftermarket install difficult? it looks like you have a pic comparing the oem hid to your hid? which car is yours? can you tell much a difference between the two from inside the car (visibility)?

Intake looks interesting but it's probably sucking in more hot air than the stock box.......I doubt that there is any increase in HP though, spool up miiiiight be quicker......but it probably sounds quite a bit louder than stock. not bad....somtehing different.

I want to do the same thing
was it hard?
any tips for me or anyone else thinking to do the same?

It is much louder than stock, you can hear the turbo spooling loud and clear and you can even heard the stock diverter valve. I was the one who showed wicked this piece initially, I tried to get it at the same time but couldnt get an order in, and now they are backordered. Wicked and I both want to keep the stock airbox; so we thought this would be a cool addition....weren't really expecting any power gains.

that's what i thought too...but i ran her hard on purpose on the way home from work one day, and popped the hood right away.....it wasn't warm at all around the box....

....as with everyone else....i lost the clips for the stock air funnel...so when i get some, i'll probably put that back...just for the extra bit of cold air...or whatever it gives.....

Honestly dude....I love 'em. For the money...it wasn't bad. In the pics up above....with the 2 EVOs side by side.....my car is on the left (see my profile)......

Side by side, they look pretty close, and it is pretty hard to tell them apart, unless you stare really close. I have to say though...the stock EVO HID's are hard to beat. Though I'm VERY happy with the aftermarket Phillips kit, it is a bit more scattered than I would like.

OEM is more solid and well-rounded. Aftermarket is a liiiittle bit broken up. But man...compared to the stock halogens...it's black and white, and to me...well worth the $$.

Visibility is very good. I can't tell from inside the car...it looks alot brighter to me, and the road lights up very nice, with a pretty clean cutoff line.......

Installation was a bit challenging, but not hard....you'll have to pull the front clip in order to install them.....PM me if you need help....

just color.....4300k is closer to stock...so PO-PO won't be pulling me over and stuff....

6000k, is a bit more purplish....but still pretty good...if you are lookin at the xenondepot.com kit....

u can see pics of my car on that site if you want to see different angles.....
