03 Evo VIII and Clear coats

Thought I read somewhere on here some 03 evo colors dont come with clear coats?

Tried to search for awhile but I cant come up with anything.

Anyone?

I think you may be right, I have an 03 and the color (red) sucks! I think it could be a single-stage paint job where the clear is essentially mixed with the color.

yeah... if you look at any scratches on your car you notice their is no depth to them so it is most likely a single stage.

yeah my blue obviously doesnt either...my car chips up way way way tooo easy....poor paint.

Paint is definetly the worst part of my car, and I have been a professional detailer for 9 years and have an advanced certificate in autobody. I take great care of it, and it still sucks.

How much you think a bodyshop would charge you to clear coat your ride?

I would guess, just to wetsand and clear, should be under $1000.
