were to put a racing tow hook????

Question were to put a racing tow hook????

hey guy just wondering were in the evo front does the tow hook go i bought a racing tow hook ,the ones that stick out the bumper a bit and was wondering if u could show were it goes i have a c-west bumper

there is a hook under the undertray , in the center. I'd use it, or mount one from where it is.

other true race evo's use the upper strut tower and poke the hook out thru the hood. I think the cyber evo does this.


Look at the atached pic. the hook (loop) is on the right ride of the hood on the strut tower.

I wouldn't do that... When they try to pull it would crush the lower part of the nose of the car.

I would rather open the hood and use the strut brace with a strap wrapped around it.

They bring it out of the hood so it's much easier for track officials to hook to it when they go into the gravel pits. it's difficult to hook to the car if the towhook is buried in gravel.

If you don't race your car then don't put one of these on it...rice IMO...unless you're REALLY racing your car and need it.

^ i agree.

but if you still insist on using it then rule of thumb on properly mounting a hook is by welding it straight to the frame of the car. the endless evo has it welded to the support beam behind the bumper.
