Infinity Basslink II
Infinity Basslink II
Hey, I just recently upgarded my headunit and my factory speakers to alpine and now I feel as if I need some extra bass. The Alpine Type S's just dont cut it unless I really crank it up and I feel that is unncessary.
I have heard really good things about the orignal infinity basslink but now that its replacement is coming out does anyone have any news on it? Or is it basically the same thing as the old one in a new box?
For anyone who has installed a sub in the trunk where did you locate it and did you choose to install any dynamat? My biggest concern is I dont want any trunk raddle I mean 0, I cant stand it. I'm not really interested in going the route of adding a sub and an amp unless I went with a JL W7 but that is just my opinion.
Any help or advice I would apprecaite it.
Thanks

I just had two JL 10W3v2's installed in a vented box in the trunk of my evo, the box faces toward the rear. We used a little dynamat on the rear of the trunk and a little in the trunk pan, and the only rattle that I have is the license plate. The sound of the system is awesome, I didn't go with the W7's because honestly I think they are overkill and the extra weight of the 1" thick box was more weight than I wanted to add to the car. The only sub that I would recommend to anyone is JL if you are serious about the sound of your system.
The box is mounted under the rear deck and we had custom panels made to make it look like a factory looking trunk (only a lot smaller), I will post some pics here shortly. We took the spare tire out and used that space to mount the amp trays. I hope this helps.
