It's nothing earth shattering and I'm sure some people have already figured it out but, here goes.

I've gotten sick of vacuuming the interior and having the black alcantara look like hell. So I bought a cheap wisk broom with reasonably stiff bristles and "sweep" the seats off. It works awesome. It pulls all the lint off and gives the black a nice uniform knap. The amount of dust that comes out of the seat is amazing. Then I just vacuum the carpets and wipe down the dash panels. It also works on the cloth door inserts really well.

Go forth and clean.

i think im going to try that this afternoon. i usually take the air compressor to the interior to blow everything out then i clean off everything else. i never thought of using a wisk broom. good tip.

I gotta say I bought the duster from the lancershop, the thing works freakin great. I think the fibers are "charged" electromagneticly somehow (Im really just guessing). The dust jumps on to the thing and if it goes over the stock radio unit it actually pulls the messes up the lcd stuff. (kinda freaked me out at 1st) But it works great.

I still kinda feel like a homo dusting though! Lol

Nothing fancy just a little hand broom that goes with a dust pan. You definately want to make sure it is either new or very clean. I got mine at the dollar store and use it just for the seats.

 

I just use a lint roller for the door trim and seats......is that getto?...LOL

Honestly I just open all four dours and use a blower. Then if there are some hard to reach spots I'll use the air compressor. THEN if it's really needed I vacuum the car.

 

Seriously, I keep one in the glove box and use it all the time. Works really well for a quick clean when you don't have a vac handy.

 

I always use a brush attachment for my shop vac to clean the seats. It cleans really well, and leaves the fabric looking like new.

I like the idea of opening the doors and using a leaf blower, I'm going to try that.
