Has anyone managed to separate the sides of the spoiler from the center flat section? A guy I'm selling mine to has bought evo 8 spoilers in the past and claimed that they came dismantled, but I see no obvious way to take it apart without potentially damaging it.

BTW, if you've got a new wing or are planning on getting one, your old one should fetch some pretty nice $$$ on eBay - mine went for $500 (!!).

 

$500 is a bit much for a lot of ppl these days. hah. i got mine for $250. BUt to answer your question - i don't think it can be dismantled..i seriously don't. ive been told that several times, even by one of hte guys at the dealership..? so beats me?

 

Ya yours cost $250.00 but didn't you have some clearcoat issues that you're still dealing with? Not to flame and not hating I'm just thinking of getting rid of mine and would like more than $250.00 for it.

 

Ive seen some jippo wings sold on ebay that come in pieces but they dont look exactly like the stock wing.

 

yeah i totally get what u guys are saying. haha.. trust me. god forbid if i totalled my lancer tomorrow, i'd want a lot more than $250 for the wing -so yeah i take back my comment. =P

 

I got a new wing under warranty because the clear resin was hazing and peeling of the original.
All the new ones come in one piece with white under coat only. The warranty covers new paint of your choice.
Out of curiosity, I asked if I ordered a 2005 in gunmetal grey, they said, no, even the 2005 would come white, (the over the counter price was $1,500)

 

the sides come off. I just had the sides painted and the body shop and to dismantle the wing.
