I agree. The design of the bumper actually follows the lines in the door moldings.

The JDM 8 is just a holdover from the 7, isn't it? It looks an awful lot like a stock 02/03 Lancer bumper, only without the lard-*** look.

ha yeah i know i am going to get a machine shop to cut it down some. other than that i like how it doesnt make the back end of the car look so "fat" for lack of a better term.

2) Rear "Spat". For lack of better term, the stock "side skirt" again doesn't match the USCM rear bumper. The JDM however, has the awesome looking rear piece that matche *perfectly*.

Also, I don't really like the whole "J-Lo" booty on the USDM one... but if you're into that......
Couldn't have said it any better.

JDM VII or IX bumpers are both nice.

But USDM has that "more cushion for teh pushin'" effect

JDM for sure. it REALLY lightens up the car, visually. and as others have said, it actually matches the lines of the car, unlike the afterthought US

I'm looking for a slightly used one myself right now.

EVO IX bumper is the best looking back bumper i seen.I guess its up to if you wanna spend money and have your own style or be different, but for my opinion i'd rather keep the stock back bumper for now and later get the 9 back bumper in the future.
