vishnu rear diffuser

If you were to get the Varis diffuser that would cost over 1500 dollars since you have to purchase the jdm rear bumper as well. Carbon is real trick and all, but aluminum is a bit more practical as it bends rather than shatters. And yes you do have to be carefull when backing up haha. I'll post pics if I have time.
Hey ASTROEVO, do you have particular reason why you chose to set your fins that way? I did mine the opposite.
PS: I might be selling my vishnu rear diffuser in the near future as i'm planning to get a jdm evo 8 rear bumper, and possible evo 7 front end. PM me if you are interested, catch is that you have to be in california and have a weightless white bumper :P. I'm looking for a bumper swap+cash so that the next owner won't have to drill holes in their bumper.

The way Astroevo set his fins is the way Vishnu has it in their pictures. It's the correct way if you go by their pictures. This is one of the flaws some pro's saw on the design so I also recently modified the fins so I could flip them the other way. The way they have it on their pictures makes no sense. The fins should get taller towards the bumper to be effective.
The diffuser woks great though, even at lower speeds it's noticeable. It just needed alot of mods to work and fit. It's a high quality product with some design flaws IMHO. If you get it and don't have the Vishnu exhaust expect to spend some money to make it fit if you don't have free access to a fab shop and someone with experience.

vishnu works better than evo 9 one, since evo 9 bumper doesn't cover the undertray.
if you look at nsx or skyline, the key to having the air/turbulance control is those fins to guide the air, as well as covering the whole underside so the passing air could create downforce for the car.
anyway, i don't understand why the center fin's backwards. does that make any sense to people?
by the way, with sheet metal cutter, drill and a sheet metal bender, you could fabricate something like that for less than $100.
it's just that you have to borrow a shop for a bit, like an ID shop at school. lol
i was thinking about going to GA tech and fabricating one, because I really like those.

A flat bottomed car is really only going to be effective in creating downforce with a very low ride height. The only gain from this piece is in the anti-parachuting. I'd say the stability gained from the fins would be negligible at best so their direction and placement are purely cosmetic.

Wouldnt the vinshu rear diffuser be a better choice...especially, for those who dont want to remove the rear crash bar for the Evo 9 bumper?
