If you own a Tarmac Evo..READ THIS!!!

Well, i was getting ready to have my Evo painted yellow. Its Tarmac. With all the dust in AZ, i was getting tired of my car looking like A$$. You could see swirl marks all through the paint. It looked awful. Its hot as hell in the sun too. So i go to a place that mixes paint for paint shops. They told me that 3m makes a polish for dark cars that removes swirles. I thinking BS but what the heck. After you use that stuff, then they said to use the 3m wax. So i spent 4 hours today doing this. Holy cow, this thing looks awsome. I mean just like when i bought it. Folks, you need to try this stuff. Simply amazing. One side note. When i finished, i almost had to put my arm in a sling. Man, get a power buffer.....

if you are going to paint it at least paint it graphit grey or a custom color.

I detail cars and use nothing but 3M products for removing scratches and swirl marks.....they have several different products for varying degrees of scratches....get "Perfect it II" if you ever have some heavier stuff to remove...then use the swirl mark remover...then a good polishing wax...it works awesome !

Hahaha, I used to detail cars and I remember tough days after doing numerous cars by hand how dead my wrist would feel =)

it's the 3M hand glaze from pepboys. it is not a wax but some oils that hides the swirl marks of dark colored cars like black. apply it after you have waxed it since it doesn't offer as much protection as wax.

I use Meguire's #9 swirl remover. Easy to find and works great.

Not tring to hijack your thread here, but for all you Zaino bros lovers out there. They have released a nice micro compound called fusion, and it does wonders on tarmac black. Clay bar, fusion, z-5, z-1, and their new show detail spray is amazing! I have never seen the metalic blue and red in the tarmac black pop so much! If your interested check out zainobros.com
